BIBC: Building Industry Bargaining Council
What is the BIBC? The Building Industry Bargaining Council (BIBC) is a statutory body established under the Labour Relations Act, 1995, to regulate employment relations in the building industry within its registered jurisdiction.
What the BIBC does:
- Negotiates and administers collective agreements between employers and trade unions
- Sets minimum wages and conditions of employment
- Administers employee benefit funds
- Provides dispute resolution through conciliation and arbitration
- Monitors and enforces compliance with industry agreements
Why it matters: The BIBC promotes fair labour practices, labour stability, and consistent employment standards across the building industry. Health & Safety
Foldo is fully committed to maintaining compliance with all applicable health and safety legislation.
We are registered with Rand Mutual Assurance (RMA) in terms of the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA), and hold a valid Letter of Good Standing. This confirms that our COIDA obligations are up to date, and that our employees are covered for compensation in the event of a work-related injury or occupational disease.
